Use a well-draining potting mix and ensure that the plant is not planted too deeply in the soil.

Water thoroughly when the top 2–5 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in the cooler winter months.

Thrives in standard household humidity, but loves a occasional misting or being grouped with other indoor plants.

Fertilise monthly during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser.

Prune yellow or damaged leaves regularly to maintain a neat appearance.
