You don’t often see Kalanchoe Humilis for sale but it's a real gem and another beautiful plant from Central and south-west Africa. We adore this plant for its easy care nature and abundance of beautifully patterned leaves. The Kalanchoe Humilis has an abundance of gorgeous leaves, it grows in the arid landscape of dry plateaus and scrubs forest.  Each October Kalanchoe Humilis burst into flower producing hundreds of small flowers. 

To thrive they need good light and only the very occasional watering, these plants like to be kept dry, treat it like a cactus and you won't go far wrong. Keep it where it is bright, sunny, warm and airy but protect from the mid-day sun. During the winter, keep them dry with only occasional watering. The leaves become pink and red with the cool nights of winter. Sometimes you will get leaf drop in winter, its nothing to worry about it's normal with kalanchoe and it will grow back big and strong once the summer days arrive.

Where should I put this plant?

Kalanchoe Humilis likes bright indirect light, it will also enjoy a sunny spot. The brighter the light the more colour in the plant. 

How should I water this plant?

Water regularly during the active growing season. No water should ever be allowed to stand around the roots. Keep completely dry in winter.
