PLANTING

Phaseolus vulgaris

Germination: 4-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures are 70-85ºF

Seed Sowing Depth: 1” deep

Outside Sowing: After the last frost with soil temperatures above 60ºF. Sow 2-3” apart. Planting in soil under 60ºF results in poor germination.

How much does a packet plant: 25-foot single row

Harvest: Before the seeds bulge and beans snap easily. Pick continually every 2-3 days to prolong production.

Tips: Grow in light, well-drained soil, and provide adequate, even moisture, especially at flowering time. Dry soil can result in low yields and fibrous pods. Do not over-fertilize the Blue Lake 274 Bush Bean with nitrogen, which results in a surplus of foliage and low, delayed pod growth. Adding inoculant at planting time aids in a larger harvest and more robust plants. Sow a few times a season, 3-4 weeks apart, for a continuous harvest.

Because the base is slanted the water drains well and doesn't sit.

The quality of this product was excellent. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Just what I was looking for. When getting the paper towels, the base did not move all around. Highly recommend for the price.

Lightweight but I like it
Color: Black, Material Type: Stainless Steel
Honestly fantastic for the price. It's just heavy enough to not get yanked around. It's pretty. And it has not looked like it has any wear or anything yet. I would recommend it. Especially for the price. If you want something a little bit more heavy duty I would definitely go with something else but I've had no issues

It gets the job done.
Color: Silver, Material Type: Stainless Steel
These some on a flat piece of cardboard, and I was concerned. It goes together well, and has held up to Highschooler use for a month so far. It looks nice, but is nothing fancy. If you are looking for any sort of resistance for your paper towel for tearing, this product probably isn't for you. It is weighted enough for it to not fall over, it looks nice enough to be fine but not nice enough to want to steal. Exactly what I was looking for. If you are searching for the perfect paper towel holder... you probably will take issue with this one. If you just need a new paper towel holder, this one might do.
