This innovative product is the most environmentally friendly plant container on the market. CowPots transplanting pots and seed starting pots are made from odor-free, 100% composted cow manure. Uses for Cow Pots:

#3 Square - 3" long and wide x 2-7/8" tall
Preferred for herbs, vegetables or other annuals intended for quick turnaround from seeding to transplanting. A convenient size to step up to larger planting containers or direct transplants to ground post frost.

#3 Round - 3.25" diameter x 3-3/8" tall
The round pot allows for better ventilation and air circulation between pots, which is advantageous to longer term durability. This size is preferred for seed starting of herbs, vegetables or other annuals that will be used for stepping up to larger planting containers or direct transplants to garden.

#4 Square - 4" long and wide x 3.75" tall
Preferred for seed starting of early planting annuals and vegetables. Ideal for seedlings needing more days in the greenhouse before transplanting. It's also great for stepping up transplants to larger planting containers or direct transplants to ground post frost.

#4 Square Tall - 4.5" long and wide x 4-3/8" tall
Optimal for vegetables that need more time in the greenhouse before transplanting to the field, like peppers, tomatoes and eggplant. This is also a closer match to the standard four-inch pot size used for perennials and herbs.

#4 Round Tall - 4-3/8" diameter x 4.5" tall
This style, like the #4 Tall, offers more soil volume than the standard #4, and the round sides improve air flow between pots. This can be advantageous to reduce mold.

#5 Round - 5.5" diameter x 4.75" tall
Great for transplanting of ornamental peppers, small mums and perennial herbs. The shape makes these plant pots easy to incorporate into indoor/decorative planting containers as well. It's also a good size for setting up bulbs mid-winter.

#5 Square - 5.25" long and wide x 5" tall
Great for use by landscapers using larger plant material. Especially applicable for planting woody herbs like rosemary, thyme or sage. The soil volume of the #5 Square is a good fit as a step up planting container for tomato seedlings. This is the most compact CowPot of the larger plant pots (depth to width ratio) and is intended for direct planting into the ground.

#6 Square - 6 in. x 5 in. tall
Used by avid dahlia growers. Also suitable for planting woody and/or bushy perennial herbs. The larger planting container size maintains the ability to rapidly decompose once planted. Optimal shelf life for these biodegradable plant pots is up to 16 weeks once planted.

#6 Round - 6" diameter x 4.25" tall
Great for planting woody and/or bushy herbs like rosemary, sage and thyme. Most suitable for late season crops, including chrysanthemums. A round biodegradable pot permits good air ventilation, allowing planting container walls to dry and harden in between watering.

#7 Square - 7" long and wide x 6-1/8" tall
Great for planting woody and/or bushy herbs along with vegetables that need more time before transplanting. Large flowers like Cannas are also a good fit in this biodegradable planting container. The larger pot size maintains the ability to rapidly decompose once planted.

#11 Square Tall - 8.5" long and wide x 11" tall
Designed specifically for growing perennials (seasonally). The #11 Square Tall is a deeper planting container, improving soil volume for healthy root growth for longer term plants using biodegradable plant pots.

#12 Square - 11.5" long and wide x 7" tall
Used in our own greenhouse for planting bulbs, large chrysanthemums and biodegradable combination planters. Growers have used this planting container size for grape vines and tomatoes as well.

#17 Round - 16.5" diameter x 11.5" tall
Originally designed for live Christmas tree sales, this is also a great pot for combination planters. Exciting way to display and market mixed flowering annuals or mini vegetable gardens. This biodegradable planting container can be easily transferred to a large step up pot with no mess.

It's good for storytelling but has content in stories that's inappropriate in this century
Format: Audiobook
Well modulated interesting and excellent storytelling ability, and skills to teach us of the same. However. I get to the 2nd lesson, it's a book of fiction for the story premise. She describes a woman in her family who can't get pregnant (in the old days), knowing her husband really wants children, and gets happy, as she turns to her "maid" and exclaims that this is alright, he can have a child with their maid! Then the storytelling author, laughs, jokes, about pleasing him and when she says the audience is laughing too, that maybe he can get a 2nd maid pregnant too. Laughing and joking I. The man's eyes as she tells it, about men and their sex drives. I'm not reading g a Victorian romance novel or of the plantation owners in the south, I'm reading a book of lessons on good story telling. This turned me off 500%, and I am done with this author and this book. Is this told by an FDLS polygamist, or ...what? What would make this story in 2013, OK to teach in a college course, or in this book? I don't care if she even made it up for a family old story.

A Book For Audio
Format: Audiobook
The Art of Storytelling from Parents to Professionals is the first book that I can be confident in saying is better as an audio version than it would be in a paper or Kindle form because you can here the verbal inflections and the storytellers can change character, voice much easier than the printed word might. It also captures the listeners attention as the author herself can connect in a lot more personal and intimate way. My concern is while I can understand what the author is getting at, I am not aspiring to be an oral performance style storyteller and there was not enough of a reach out from the world of oral storytelling to the written story. I mean how many of us are going to get up on stage and tell stories? I guess you can take the skills from one realm and use them elsewhere, but the connection may not be made so easily. This was an audiobook that I had a lot of fun with, even if I didn’t quite get what I was hoping for from it.

Great Overview of the Art of Storytelling
Format: Audiobook
I chanced on this as an Audible "freebie" to keep on the list for when I was out of credits. Well, it's excellent, and well worth the listen. And excellent survey of the topic spanning topics of performance (preparing, voice, body language, projection), various aspects of framing (culture, age, ethnicity, audience size), story structure and so on This point is for Hannah B. Harvey, if perchance she reads tese reviews. One point of modern storytelling and writing that is not brought out in your lectures, is that some of the best villain/antagonists are actually the heroes/protagonists of their own stories. This is tangentially alluded to in talking about story viewpoints, but not to the extent that it can be an entirely new story, as Wicked and Maleificent turned The Wizard of Oz and Sleeping Beauty on their heads. And even in the 1960's, many a Bond 007 villain was trying to create what they imagined to be a better world. It's useful to consider in storytelling, as far too many people have forgotten/fail to see the fundamental moral ambiguities of life, and I suspect that goes a long way to explaining the extreme partisanship we see in the world today.

Sadly, I found the tips and the examples in this lecture to be very simplistic and uninspiring.
Format: Audiobook
I expected a professional storyteller to be able to keep my interest but I found the presentation to be quite boring. I got nothing out of it that I didn’t already know from just being an avid reader. It felt like a high school lecture. Sigh!!
