The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) has garnered a rep as one of the ultimate fuss-free indoor buddies, making it perfect for both green thumbs and, well, those not-so-green. From dim corners to spots bathed in bright indirect light, this adaptable fella's got you covered. While it occasionally sports modest white flowers from Kambarang (late spring) to Birak (early summer), it's quite the shy bloomer, making its lush green leaves the true showstopper.
Pop it in a pot, and this drought-tolerant mate hardly ever nags for a drink – roughly once a month will keep it chuffed. And for a nifty trick, try a self-watering pot; the ZZ Plant thrives as it grows its roots into a water chamber. No need for snipping or trimming, just let it do its thing and enjoy the effortlessly verdant vibes it brings to the room.
