THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL!

Cactus Gritty Mix is the mix that started it all! This puts a more eco-friendly spin on the traditional gritty cactus soil by utilizing coconut chips and coir, an otherwise wasted byproduct of the coconut industry. Of the 50 million coconuts produced around the world each year, about 85% of the husks are discarded as trash. As a soil component, the ground husks offer excellent aeration and moisture retention properties while still providing a fast-draining medium. Cactus Gritty Mix is the perfect choice for a wide variety of cacti and other hardy, dry-weather plants.

What’s in it?

  • Organic: coconut husk chips, recycled forest products
  • Inorganic: pumice, calcined clay, granite, expanded clay

WHAT PLANTS LOVE IT?

Ideal for plants like Agave, Golden or Blue Barrel Cacti, Cereus, Echinopsis, Euphorbia, Fairy Castle, Mammillaria, Myrtillocactus, Prickly Pear Opuntia, or Totem Pole Cacti to name a few!
Note: Christmas Cactus -i.e.- Schlumbergera is not a desert cactus and won't want to be this dry, see: Houseplant Chunky Mix.

Great price!
Color: Green
I love it! I waahed it & dried, then used it to make my matcha. I had been using a silicon pastry brush! Lol. (& making a mess) so it was great to have the right tools to make it. Comes with bamboo whisk, ceramic stand, bamboo spoon for consistent measurment, stainless cup size strainer, & bamboo scraper to swipe matcha powder in sifter & scrape lumps from side of bowl or cup. I just made it in the cup today. Simplified the process. I am super pleased.

Poor Whisk Quality
Color: Green
I've had the kit for about a month. This matcha kit would be good for beginners just trying to get into making drinks at home. While I am not as experienced with matcha, I feel you could get a better ensemble to whisk your matcha. Mine is still holding up. I've made around 15 drinks probably? But I can't see the whisk holding on for longer than 3 months. The whisk quality is not very good. The whisk mixes well, but it has a tendency for the bristles to break and bits of bamboo to end up in your drink. The rest of the kit is holding up pretty well. The look of it is cute and minimalistic. Everything is easy to clean, though I think matcha kits are not meant to get very dirty besides coming in contact with matcha and water. If you mix anything else with this kit, I am not sure how well the bamboo will hold up in regards to mold.

Love This Set!
Color: Green
My daughter loves making matcha with this set. It as lasted for her matcha making sessions. The size is perfect to sit on top of the counter top. It's easy to clean, and leaves no after taste of any kind, nothing but great tasting matcha. The whisk makes to mix and get all the matcha powder so non sticks at the bottom or sides. It's a great buy!

Nice Matcha
Flavor Name: Ceremony Matcha-1.06oz
The flavor of this is very smooth and not bitter like some other matchas I’ve tried in the past. It’s very easy to incorporate into water and tastes amazing with soy milk and strawberry syrup. I’d say this is very fresh tasting and smelling. I did have consistent energy throughout the day with no crash which is a plus. Only warning is be very careful because the tin and product are very light I accidentally knocked it over the first day I had it and half the matcha fell onto the floor and was wasted. I’ve now learned to be very slow around it so I don’t drop it again.
