DocBlock® Anthuriums are premium hybrid Anthuriums developed through decades of meticulous selective breeding by Dr. Jeff Block, a physician and botanist widely respected in the aroid community. These plants are prized for thick, velvety foliage, bold contrast veining, and dramatic emergent colors in shades of burgundy, red, violet, and purple that mature to deep green. Intentionally bred for strength and resilience, DocBlock hybrids are true collector-grade plants grown by Rare Plant Fairy—one of only two licensed growers in North America.

The long tear-drop dramatic emergent red leaf of 'Red Velvet Cake' (first released in 2023) was pollinated by a favorite vigorous DocBlock Red Crystallinum x Magnificum velvet-leaf Anthurium form known as Home, Sweet Home '32'. These vigorous hybrids are still quite rare and in high demand.
