Care & tips Aglaonema - 40cm

The Aglaonema is an easy plant to look after, as long as you put it in the right spot. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can damage the leaves and cause them to burn. Choose a spot with normal daylight and occasional shade. This helps the plant stay healthy and ensures the leaves retain their vibrant colours. Direct sunlight can also slow the growth of new leaves, so a spot with filtered light is ideal. By following these simple guidelines, your Aglaonema will continue to shine.

Water requirements Aglaonema - 40cm

Keep the Aglaonema's soil slightly moist, but be careful not to overwater. Too much water can cause root rot, which can seriously damage or even kill the plant. Check the moisture by feeling into the soil with two fingers. If the soil is dry after just two days, you can water the plant again. If the soil is still wet after a few days, wait to water it. It is better for the soil to be slightly too dry than too wet, because a dry period is less harmful than a constantly wet environment.

Light requirements Aglaonema - 40cm

The Aglaonema Cutlass thrives in a place with normal daylight and shade, or even in a shady corner. Due to its tropical background, it does not tolerate too much sunlight, which can lead to burning, elongated stems with few leaves, and fading leaf markings. If the plant lets its leaves droop for lack of light, move it to a lighter spot without direct sunlight.

Is the Aglaonema - 40cm poisonous?

Yes, unfortunately the Aglaonema is poisonous. The sap coming from the stems can cause skin irritation. Therefore, place the plant at a safe distance from children and animals.

How is my Aglaonema shipped?

This houseplant is delivered in a cultivation pot. All our plants are shipped in a specially designed shipping box or upright on a special pallet. Due to the unique interior of the shipping boxes, the houseplants stand firmly in the box and cannot move. Houseplants don't mind spending a day in a dark box. This way, we make sure your green friends are delivered to your home in tip-top order.

Toddler approved!
Format: Board book
My 2 year old loves this book! The pictures are beautiful, he's learned the names of all of the bugs, and it's a nice small size that's easy to read using one hand with my toddler in my lap before bedtime. I bought this when he was around 18 months old and it is still a hit.

Great book!
Format: Board book
I really like this book it includes: ladybug, bumblebee, praying mantis, firefly and (monarch) butterfly. So a good selection of bugs a small child is likely to experience in their yard or park in North America. For the photo board book aged children I really prefer that they discuss vocabulary that the child will be able to use to describe the world around them so I appreciate that most kids will see most of these bugs fairly easily and frequently. I did question the praying mantis since I see them much less frequently than the other bugs in the book but my husband said it is an exciting bug when kids do see it so he supports the choice--I think a fly or mosquito might have been a somewhat more useful choice as far as vocabulary our son could use most often. I liked that they did say the butterfly was a monarch but typically used butterfly so if a child lives where other butterflies are more common they learned the more general term. I think fireflies are less common in some regions but they are so magical as a small child that I think it is a good choice.
