Overview

An aromatic herb that pairs well with potatoes, meats, and stews

Conditions

Choose a sunny spot (6+ hours of direct sunlight) with well-drained soil.

Planting

Plant young rosemary plants or propagate from cuttings in spring or fall. Use our grow calendar tool to find specific planting dates for your region! Plant 2–3 seeds per starter pot indoors 8–10 weeks before transplating. Thin to the one strongest plant per pot when ~2" tall, and transition outside (harden) for 7 days before outdoor transplant, spacing them 6–8 inches apart. Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering.

Care

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Prune to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth. While rosemary is quite hardy, we recommend to protect from harsh winter cold.

Pets and Disease

Rosemary generally has few pest problems, although it can be attacked by aphids, spider mites, mealybugs or scales. Address them using organic pest control methods when necessary. Be vigilant for pests like aphids and use organic pest control methods if needed. Here's a link to our favorite homemade insecticide soap recipe for plants! Root rot and botrytis are the most common disease problems. The biggest cause of plant decline and death is overwatering.

Harvest

Harvest no more than 20% of your plant at any time, allowing the plant to keep an attractive shape. To dry Rosemary, hang up sprigs in a warm, dark, well-ventilated place. When completely dry, strip the whole leaves from the stems and store them in airtight containers.

My dogs think these are actual steak bites
Flavor Name: Beef, Size: 1.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
I’ve tried a lot of treats and my dogs usually get bored after a while, but they go crazy every single time I grab this bag. The pieces are soft and easy to break apart, which is perfect for training or smaller bites. I also like that they don’t smell horrible like some jerky treats do. My picky dog even listens better when I have these in my pocket, so that says a lot. Great size bag for the price and they stay fresh — definitely a repeat buy in our house.

Good if your dog’s not picky
Flavor Name: Beef, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I ordered two treats. One was the beef because thought I’d give it a try. It looks good. Smells good, but not a hit with my dogs. It’s really soft and they like just a little bit harder too, but for little dogs are medium that are not too picky. I would definitely get this for them if they want something other than a chicken treat.

Picky dog approved!
Color: S6-muti-color, Color: S6-muti-color
I have wasted so much money on dog balls that they won't even pick up! They finally were obsessed with the Kong rubber green/blue or red/blue ones, but they're $3+. each, and they break from the dogs squishing it. I honestly had zero expectations on these, and they BOTH picked them up on the first throw! That's huge!! Seem to work fine in the ChuckIt. As for the squeaker, at first I was like "Oh nooooo." when they both loudly started! Much to my (and my neighbors') happiness, the squeakers stopped working after a couple minutes. 🤣
