You will receive a live Cuban oregano (Plectranthus barbatus, Coleus barbatus) plant in a 2.5-inch pot. Also called woolly plectranthus or blue spur flower, this versatile plant grows well in a bright windowsill or in partial shade outdoors. Hardy year-round in zones 9-11. Can reach a height and spread of about 6 feet in frost-free areas, forming a semi-succulent, shrubby plant. May produce purplish flowers that are attractive to pollinators. Thick, fleshy, fuzzy leaves emit a strong scent and are used in a variety of cuisines. Known by myriad names reflecting this, such as Cuban oregano, Mexican mint, Spanish thyme, and others. Smoke Camp Crafts distinguishes P. barbatus from P. amboinicus by its larger, more pointed leaves.
