Yellow Soybean is a nutrient-rich, Non-GMO legume that is an excellent source of protein, iron, and other essential vitamins and minerals. This highly productive legume grows as a lush, bushy plant that thrives in full sun, producing clusters of pods filled with protein-packed beans. Its yellow color is indicative of its high levels of antioxidants and phytonutrients, making it a delicious and healthy addition to any diet. The beans can be harvested young for fresh edamame or allowed to mature for dried soybeans, making it a multipurpose crop that fits seamlessly into a variety of uses. .Its high protein content and essential amino acids make soybeans a cornerstone of plant-based diets, offering a nutritious, eco-friendly alternative to meat. Beyond the garden, the beans can be transformed into countless products, from soy milk and tofu to snacks and oils, showcasing their incredible versatility. Planting Instructions:

Soil Preparation:

Choose an area with heavy, well-draining soil that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. Remove weeds, large rocks, and litter from the planting area. Leave small weeds and dead grass, they will enrich the soil when turned under. Spade or till the soil 8-12 inches deep. Loosening the soil will help the plant establish strong roots.

Plants grow best in soil with lots of organic matter. You may optionally add fertilizer or organic material such as compost, leaves, or rotted hay to mix into the soil at this point. For small gardens, scatter 2-3 tablespoons of a low-nitrogen fertilizer evenly and work into the top 2-3 inches of soil for each hill or 2 foot by 2 foot planting area. For larger gardens, scatter 2-3 pounds of a low-nitrogen fertilizer for each 100 square feet of planting area. Work fertilizer or organic material into the soil and leave the surface smooth.

Form rows of soil beds 4-6 inches high and at least 7 inches apart. This formation of ridges will help with drainage.

Planting:

Soybeas grow best between 65-85F temperatues. Direct-sowing is recommended. Plant edamame in the spring after all danger of frost has passed and the soil temperature reaches at least 70F. For fall crops, direct sow seeds outdoors 12-14 weeks before the first frost. To plant, make holes 1 inch deep and spaced 6 inches apart down the rows of raised beds. Plant 1 seed per hole. If choosing to thin to the strongest plant, plant 2-3 seeds per hole, determine the strongest and healthiest plant, then remove all other plants, narrowing to a single plant per hole. Cover seeds thinly with soil and water after planting.

Planting Depth: 1 inch
Within-Row Spacing: 6 inches
Between-Row Spacing: 7-15 inches

Care During the Season:

Watering: Water the plants deeply, soaking the soil to a depth of 6-8 inches, once a week. If there is no rainfall, water 2-3 times a week. Water especially during flowering and pod formation. Sandy soils may need to be watered more often than heavy clay soils. Mulching around plants can help retain moisture.

Weeding: Keeping plants weed-free improves production. If plowing or hoeing, do not dig deeper than 1 inch to prevent from cutting the feeder roots.

Fertilizing: Once plants start forming pods, you may optionally a low-nitrogen fertilizer, without letting the fertilizer touch the plants. Water plants after fertilizing.

Insecticides: Insecticides may be used to protect plants. Bt-based insecticides and sulfur are organic options that can be used for prevention. Sulfur also has fungicidal properties and helps in controlling many diseases. Before using a pesticide, read the label and follow cautions, warnings and directions.

Diseases: If spots or mold appear, treat plants with an approved fungicide. Neem oil, sulfur, and other fungicides may be used. When using fungicides always follow label directions.

Harvesting:

Soybeans are harvested when the pods have turned yellow or brown and the leaves have begun to yellow and drop off, usually about 100 to 150 days after planting, depending on growing conditions. The key indicator that soybeans are ready for harvest is when the beans inside the pods have reached full size and are firm, but not yet shriveled. It’s important to wait until the pods are fully mature, as harvesting too early can result in underdeveloped beans. To harvest, you can pull up the entire plant by the roots or, if you have a large crop, use a combine harvester to remove the beans. After harvesting, allow the pods to dry completely, either by leaving them in the field or by hanging them in a dry, well-ventilated area. Once fully dried, the beans can be removed from the pods by hand or using a threshing machine. Be sure to store the beans in a cool, dry place to maintain their quality.

Stylish, light (laptop, phone, notebook & pen) +
Color: Upgrade-apricot, Size: 15.6 Inch, Color: Upgrade-apricot, Size: 15.6 Inch
Perfect for work! I use it for laptop, charger and few items necessary at work. I have a few blocks to walk from parking to work location and this bag has replaced last backpack and purse. Much easier to carry one item than two or more. Plus, it has enough room if you need to use it for clothes and toiletries (road-trip) or carry-on.

Size up
While I like the concept, it’s not true to size. I cut the tag off thinking this fit well, as I wear 38G in most HSIA bras, I found that throughout the day this rode up and gave me “quad-breast.” It also broke the skin on my back where the anti-slip rubber was on the band. It has potential, maybe if you size up with band and cup.
