How do you use Yates Plant Food Spikes?
Pretty simple. Pop one to three spikes in the soil (check the spikes per pot guide below), roughly midway between the plant stem and edge of the pot. Push them down to just below the surface (not all the way down, so water passes by them on the way to the roots). Water as usual. Each spike lasts two months. Job done!
30 spikes per pack. How many per pot?
There are 30 spikes per pack, and you need roughly 1 plant spike per 5cms of pot, based on the diameter of your pot.
10cm pot = 1 to 2 spikes
14cm = 2 to 3 spikes
20cms = 3 to 4 spikes
25cm = 4 to 5 spikes
For pots 30cm+ add 1 spike per 5cms of extra pot diameter.
Like all soil and fertilisers, wash your hands after use.
