This cross brings together two time-tested lines: the legendary OG Kush clone with my trusted Purest Indica (Steve Murphy Afghan) male. The goal was to retain the distinctive OG profile while improving yield, structure, and flowering time—making this an excellent addition for growers who appreciate classic West Coast lineage.

OG Kush: Proven Lineage Since the '90s

I’ve been growing OG Kush consistently since 2004 and first experienced it in Los Angeles back in 1997. It’s remained one of my all-time favorite cultivars thanks to its sharp, fuel-forward aroma, dense trichome coverage, and unmistakable presence in the garden. While the original cut is potent and flavorful, one area where it often falls short is yield—something I set out to improve with this project.

Purest Indica: Steve Murphy Afghan Foundation

Purest Indica, also known as the Steve Murphy Afghan, is a compact, fast-flowering line gifted to Seattle Greg in 1979. This foundational broadleaf variety contributes tight internodes, shorter flowering times, and excellent structural density, making it a perfect match for enhancing OG Kush’s growth traits without compromising its core character.

The Hybrid: OG Kush x Purest Indica

The resulting F1 hybrid preserves OG Kush’s bold aromatic signature—heavy on fuel and funk—while delivering improved yields, stronger branching, and a more compact growth pattern. These seeds represent a balanced blend of two heritage lines, crafted for performance and authenticity.

These are regular seeds, offering a natural mix of male and female plants.

These are not feminized, made from chemically induced hermaphrodites or half-hemp-autoflowering seeds.
