About Lavender - Lavandula angustifolia

Lavender is one of the best known and most widely used essential oils in natural skincare, and with good reason. Lavender has a vast array of properties and uses. With levels of around Linalool 25%, Linalyl acetate 35%, Octan-3-one 1.4%, 1,8 Cineole 0.45% and Camphor 0.25% lavender has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, calming, antiseptic and healing properties. Lavender is used to soothe dry, sensitive, eczema and acne prone skin and in the treatment of minor burns, cuts, wounds, insect bites and more. An essential in any natural first aid kit. About Aloe - Aloe barbadensis 

Aloe gel exerts a soothing and cooling effect on inflamed and irritated skin. Mucopolysaccharides found in aloe help to hydrate and retain moisture the skin. Aloe extracts can promotes collagen production, increasing skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The amino acids and minerals found in Aloe have a softening effecting that may also tighten pores. Aloe contains salicylic acid that possesses anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and saponins that are the soapy substances and form about 3% of the gel. These constituents have cleansing and antiseptic properties making aloe an effective ingredient in cleansers and in the treatment of skin breakouts and acne. The cooling effects of aloe make it an ideal treatment for inflamed, irritated skin such as sunburn, minor cuts and wounds and some cases of eczema
