Colocasia Royal Hawaiian® Aloha Elephant Ear is a robust, vigorous plant with an exceptionally dense overall habit and a mature size of 32 to 44 inches tall. A tropical head-turner, Aloha offers bold color and texture to the summer garden. Its large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves emerge dark olive-green but rapidly become dark purple-black with contrasting spring green veins.

A Colocasia esculenta variety, commonly referred to as elephant ear or taro, Aloha is a tuberous rooted, frost-tender perennial (Zones 8-12) with a tidy, upright, clumping growth habit. This plant is an excellent choice for pond edges, rain gardens, and even areas with standing water. But it may best be grown in a large planter in cooler climates or where growth needs to be contained. Whether planted solo for its dramatic foliage or used in mass plantings to highlight vibrant flowers, Aloha adds a tropical flair to any garden.

Once established, Aloha elephant ear requires minimal care but must remain consistently moist. It prefers sunny to partially shady locations and fertile, rich soil. In hot summer climates, providing afternoon shade can protect it from stress. This deer-resistant plant is both practical and ornamental.

Plant Aloha elephant ear's 9- to 11-inch bulb (rhizome) in mid-spring, spacing them 18 to 24 inches apart and burying them 2 to 4 inches deep once soil and air temperatures consistently reach 60°F or higher. In colder climates, lift the bulbs in fall, store them in a dry location with the temperature at 50°F, and replant in spring after all threat of frost has passed.

He was OBSESSED!!!
Size: Large, Color: Dinos Frills (Gray), Size: Large, Color: Dinos Frills (Gray)
Our year and a half old lab was excited the moment he saw it come out of the box ! He had many toys that he tore into shreds within a day so this was his first “heavy toy “ that wasn’t easy to tear . I think he loves the design and feel of it , as he carried this thing EVERYWHERE and even to bed . Him and his sister share toys but this was his , he claimed it lol Now if it wasn’t for us telling him to stop trying to kill the Dino he could have easily tore into this thing within a couple of days . However since he started chewing gently he became obsessed with the squeaker , and used that as an alarm that he was up every morning in bed 😂 The quality of the product is actually pretty good but it’s not bullet proof, and our smart dog was able to sneakily tear a whole in the nose and some how pull out the stuffing . All in all I would definitely buy another toy from this company because they are made with quality for dogs , and lasted about three weeks longer than his average toys ! It was his favorite toy 💕

More Durable Than Most
My puppy likes this. He ripped up the stuffing pretty quickly but the rope innards are strong. Both a tug toy and chew. I would prefer it unstuffed so 4 ⭐️ instead of 5.

My dogs favorite toy
Color: Ropiez Dragon
The dragon is pretty durable but I will say my dog chews off the horn the first chance she gets. There is no stuffing except for the horn. Holds up well in a tug of war and play. For an average to moderate aggressive dog it hold up for awhile. It’s not indestructible it will tear.

Very cute toy
I THOUGHT IT WOUKD BE BIGGER. it's about the size of 24 oz water bottle. Kinda small in my opinion. The dogs loved it but I've had it a week and it's already torn apart....my dogs are only about 3 months old so not very strong yet, so I would say it's like mid quality. I'll probably just sew the seam back together and call it good tbh.
