Stinging Nettle Leaf, Cut and Sifted (Urtica dioica)

🌿 Stinging nettle leaf (Urtica dioica) is one of the most versatile greens in the herbal pantry. Our cut and sifted leaf steeps into a deep, mineral-rich infusion with a flavor that lands somewhere between fresh spinach, green tea, and young turnip. Tea brewers and home herbalists have reached for nettle for centuries as a nourishing daily cup and as a wild culinary green, a staple across European traditional herbal practice. For a full method, see our guide to brewing the perfect stinging nettle tea.

Nettle grows abundantly across temperate Europe and North America, and we bring our leaf in from the regions where it flourishes: Albania, Bulgaria, and the United States. Every lot we ship receives the same per-lot lab work and the same 100% money-back guarantee as everything we carry.

Radical transparency is how we earn your trust. Every lot is backed by a specific Certificate of Analysis that verifies purity, potency, and the absence of contaminants, and the full COA lives right on our nettle deep dive and historical tapestry article, so you can confirm the exact batch you are receiving before you brew.

A little context helps you get the most from this leaf. Nettle has a long, well-loved record as a food and a daily infusion, and it pairs beautifully with lemon balm, peppermint, and oat straw. You can read more in our roundup of traditional nettle uses, and please review the safety notes below before your first cup.

🌱 From the Sacred Plant Co Farm

Sacred Plant Co is a soil-first farm. Our own farm in Colorado earned a groundbreaking Haney Soil Health Score of 25.4, a number that surpasses the soil biology measured in pristine forest land. That score is the heart of who we are. We believe healthier soil grows more complex, more potent plants, and that philosophy is the reason we hold every herb we carry to the same biological and per-lot testing standards.

Safety & Considerations

Nettle leaf has a long traditional record as a food and daily infusion, and most adults enjoy it freely. As with any potent botanical, a few considerations apply. It is traditionally set aside during pregnancy and while nursing, and it is not recommended for young children without guidance from a qualified practitioner. Because nettle leaf can act on fluid balance and blood sugar, those taking blood thinners, blood pressure medications, diuretics, blood-sugar medications, or lithium should speak with their healthcare provider first. Anyone with a known nettle allergy should avoid it, and occasional mild stomach upset can occur.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use.

Great 🥰

The Epson F170 has been ideal for getting started with sublimation. It's easy to use, prints vibrant and defined colors, and has allowed me to personalize various projects with excellent results. As a beginner, it has given me a lot of confidence to learn and create without complications. I definitely recommend it for anyone starting out in sublimation.

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.

Epson SureColor F170 Sublimation Printer Rocks!
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
TI’m a newbie at sublimation, and this is my first sublimation printer. I love it! I can’t wait to make more things! I like that it’s not too large, but still can print up to 8.5x14”. The quality seems to be really good, but I also don’t have any other printer to compare it to. This was my very first project! I’m very happy with it so far!

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.
