Loved it!
Format: Kindle
I really enjoyed reading this. I saw the Netflix series first, and that brought me to looking up the books. This gives so many feel-good vibes, and it is so sweet. I enjoyed the extra info not mentioned in the tv show and seeing it from different characters’ perspectives.

A gaze into our past for older LGBTQ persons.
Format: Kindle
So much like a lot of people I watched the Netflix show first, and then purchased all the graphic novels after. I will say the show is pretty true to the original story, however, I do truly love these graphic novels a bit more.
As an older member of the LGBTQ it is beautiful to kind of take a trip back to when I was younger in school. I can relate to both Nick's internal struggles and Charlie's outward struggle dealing with other students so it's kind of a two-fer for me personally. This graphic novels tells a lovely story of what actual LGBTQ youth are going through, and for us older folks what we wish we could of went through. Alice Oseman did a beautiful job illustrating this story, because not only were you reading the interactions, you could see the interactions which made it more personal and intimate. I highly recommend this series for not only youth, but for older persons as well. I cannot wait to see more of the Nick and Charlie series if Alice decides to continue their tale.

The beginning….
Format: Kindle
….of the Charlie and Nick story. And my first graphic novel. Having watched the tv series, thought I would read the book series. The drawings are cute, and of course with those graphics it’s a very quick read.
Enjoyed it.
