Product Information

Yukon Bermuda is the turf grass professional's top choice for projects from the equator through the transition zones of the world. In trials, it has shown excellent turf quality and winter hardiness at both 0.5 in. and 1.5 in. mowing heights. Yukon can be seeded on new projects, as well as interseeded into existing turf of similar quality. With the highest ratings for turfgrass quality, color, density and texture, Yukon Bermuda Grass Seed is the best choice for turf managers, wherever Bermudagrass is grown. Additionally, with its excellent winter survival and cold tolerance, Yukon Bermuda seed becomes a standalone choice for transition zone plantings.

Yukon blends well with other turf-type Bermuda grasses and uses up to 25% less water than other Bermuda grasses, while maintaining superior turf quality. Yukon Bermuda has approximately 1- 2 million seeds per pound.

Yukon Bermuda Grass Seed was developed as a hardy, turf-type Bermuda variety, making it a great option for land managers and superintendents at parks, athletic facilities and golf courses. This particular blend was developed by agronomists at the Oklahoma State University, which features one of the NCAA's premiere golf programs. We're not saying that the players benefit from playing on Yukon Bermuda Grass Seed...but we're not saying that they don't, either.

    Coated Seed vs Raw Seed

Coated seed contains a clay-based surrounding shell that increases moisture retention and helps to reduce insect or fowl consumption. Coated seed contains approximately 50% coating weight, or inert weight, per pound of seed. Coated Yukon Bermuda Grass Seed is also easier to see after it is applied. Raw seed features no fillers, coatings, or treatments.

Remove all old vegetation to prepare a clean seedbed by means of a disc. Drag or rake area to loosen and level any hard or uneven spots if needed. Apply a slow-release starter fertilizer at the recommended rate. Broadcast seed at recommended rate. Drag, rake or roll lightly to cover the seed.

Under ideal conditions, Yukon Bermuda germinates in 7-10 days and the first mowing is in approximately 21 days, depending on usage. You can expect full coverage to occur in 30 days with first limited use in 60-90 days.

    Not good for aggressive chewers
This product does not stand up to aggressive chewing. My bulldog had it for about an hour before the legs disappeared.

    Cute donuts. Not destroyed (yet!)
These squeaky doughnuts are really cute. It’s a bonus that it comes with two. I didn’t realize that when I ordered. I have two dogs and now they won’t fight over a doughnut just kidding one dog is 14 and doesn’t play with toys anymore. The other one is six and loves toys but for some reason he’s not really into this one maybe this will change but for now he only goes after it if I throw it, I’ll update this review to comment on durability if and when he starts playing with the toy, but for now it’s very adorable because it’s just sitting on the floor. Update: he picked one up only because I put it in front of him to take the photo!

    Double the Fun
This two-pack was a really nice surprise. The toys are super cute, soft, and just the right size for carrying around, which made them an instant hit with my pup. He loves having a toy he can easily grab and parade around the house, and these are perfect for that. The plush material is soft enough to make them great comfort toys, but they also have that fun squeaky element that keeps things interesting. I like that getting two in the pack gives a little backup when one gets slobbery or needs a quick cleanup. These are better for gentle play and cuddling than for heavy chewing, but for a puppy or dog that likes soft carry-around toys, they are a great choice. Adorable, fun, and a good value for a two-pack.

    Durable
This is the best dog toy I have ever bought! I got my 1st one in 2013 and it still squeaks. Admittedly, there is only one squeaker left but it still works. My dog has played with this silly snake more than any other toy she has. My friend often brings her dog when she visits and then the 2 dogs play tug-of-war with the snake. These are small dogs;, one is a pug and one is a small mixed breed that weighs about 15 pounds. They pull and tug with all their might. Even so, my first snake has no rips or tears. The only thing wrong is that most of the squeakers have given up the ghost. That's why I decided to replace snake. I don't think my pug noticed the difference. I washed it as soon as it came out of the package just to make sure there was no residual die in the fabric as I knew my dog would have it in her mouth ASAP. I don't put my dog toys in the dryer but they just have to be washed from time to time. So, all is well with snake except that he is much louder now that all of his parts work. That's the other thing, don't buy this toy if you can't stand the noise.

    Dog LOVES this toy
My dog, a Husky/Carolina dog mix, LOVES squeaky toys. Probably more than me, to be honest. Any squeak sound he hears throws him into "I must destroy it" mode. So, for Christmas, I purchased him this Outward Hound Kyjen Invincibles Plush Snake. He. Went. Insane. It was love at first bite. He was squeaking and chewing it all day. However, as I figured, this toy is not invincible. He's already shredded a good portion of it. I had to vacuum up pieces. Luckily, he's never been one to swallow pieces, but I have other dogs who might, so I have to keep a watch on it. If you have a dog who eats pieces, watch them carefully. Fabric can cause blockages in the stomach or intestines of the dog. Overall, this was a great gift for my pup, and I recommend it to other humans with squeaky-toy-loving doggies.
