About Echeveria 'Goldfish'

Echeveria 'Goldfish' is a small-form, rare hybrid that captures the imagination with its unique morphology. Each leaf is exceptionally thick, rounded, and slightly curved, mimicking the shape of a small goldfish.

In its relaxed state, the leaves are a soft pastel pink or lime-green, but this variety is a master of color transformation. Under bright light and cool evening temperatures, the leaf tips become sharply pointed and turn a vibrant ruby-red, while the rest of the foliage takes on a golden-pink or buttery-orange glow. Its compact size and dense, spherical rosettes make it a perfect "jewel" for desktop displays or mixed succulent arrangements.

How to Care for Echeveria 'Goldfish'

Sun/Location: This variety loves a warm environment with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. While it needs light to maintain its intense "goldfish" colors, it can be sensitive to harsh summer extremes. A spot that receives filtered morning sun is ideal. Indoors, place it in a bright window, but monitor it closely during heatwaves to avoid sunburn on its fleshy leaves.

Soil/Pot: Because the leaves are so "chubby," they store a massive amount of water, making the plant very sensitive to dampness. This 4-inch pot should be filled with a high-drainage gritty mix (we recommend 70% mineral grit like pumice or perlite). Ceramic or terracotta pots are excellent choices as they allow the soil to breathe and dry out more effectively.

Watering: Follow a strict "soak and dry" routine. Only water when the soil is completely dry to the touch and the lower leaves feel slightly soft. Overwatering is the biggest risk for this variety; it is a drought-tolerant plant that prefers a "desert dry" environment between waterings. Always avoid getting water in the center of the rosette to prevent rot.

Propagation: 'Goldfish' is a rewarding plant to multiply thanks to its thick, nutrient-rich leaves. To propagate, gently twist off a healthy leaf and let it callus for 3–5 days. Lay it on a bed of dry soil in a semi-shaded area. Because the leaves are so plump, they provide plenty of energy for the new roots and tiny "baby goldfish" rosettes to emerge.

Terrible quality, broke in less than 3hrs of use
Color: Tan Natural, Color: Tan Natural
For the price point, this product really sucked. Guys not even less than 3hrs of use the compact broke into tiny pieces and I had to cover it with the sponge that comes along with the compact to prevent from further breakage. The coverage is good, it blends well into the skin and has a natural finish, but the actual value for money is NOT THERE. If you want to pay this much for a foundation compact that is also good for your skin then just go for the Westman Atelier Pressed Skincare Powder.

Not my favorite.
Color: Medium Sand
I wanted to like this foundation, but it ended up being too drying on my skin. The finish looks chalky rather than smooth, which makes it hard to get a natural look. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work well for mE.
