The Philodendron Bipennifolium is rare, tropical variety native to the Northern and Western parts of the Amazon basin. Often referred to as the “Fiddleleaf” or “Horsehead Philodendron”, the BIpennifolium is characterized by its downward curving, distinct upper lobes, fiddle-shaped “nose”  and leathery leaf-blades. Typically found growing up the sides of trees, this hemi-epiphyte thrives when trained up on a trellis or moss pole to mimic its natural growth pattern.

Light: Give your Philodendron Bipennifolium bright but indirect sunlight to thrive. Keep out of direct sun in order to prevent wilting and leaf discoloration.

Water: Give it moist soil at all times during the warmer months, but be very careful of over-watering the plant. Otherwise, it can stunt the growth. Or worse, it can develop root rot.

Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this Philodendron. We suggest adding a humidifier to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.
