❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Wood Round Garden Arbor Pergola Trellis
Most customers assemble this wood arbor in 45–90 minutes with two people. All necessary hardware and an instruction manual are included. You’ll only need a standard screwdriver or power drill with the appropriate bit. Pre-drilled holes make alignment straightforward. 👍
The arbor is made from natural fir wood, which is inherently durable for outdoor use. While it comes with a yellow finish, we recommend applying a water-repellent sealant or wood preservative once a year to enhance longevity and maintain its warm color. This also helps protect against moisture and UV. With basic care, it will grace your garden for seasons to come.
Absolutely. The sturdy fir construction and pergola top are designed to handle the weight of mature vines such as roses, clematis, jasmine, and even moderate wisteria. For heavier, woody vines, ensure the arbor is anchored securely (anchoring stakes not included, but we recommend ground anchors for extra stability). It’s a fantastic trellis for creating a lush green tunnel.
The single box measures 63.04" (L) x 20.88" (W) x 7.49" (H) and weighs 36.30 lb. It’s manageable for one person to slide, but you may want assistance carrying it due to its length. The packaging is designed to protect the wood during transit.
For best stability, especially in windy areas, we recommend anchoring the legs. The base of each post has pre-drilled holes (or you can use brackets) to attach to ground stakes or concrete anchors (not included). Many gardeners also set the posts in planter boxes or use decorative metal post anchors. The structure is freestanding but anchoring greatly improves wind resistance.
