Description
Dr. John Cho, of the University of Hawaii, bred a mix of the Colocasia illustris and Colocasia esculenta, so now we can say aloha to the Royal Hawaiian Aloha elephant ear--a perfect blend of the striking leaf of the illustris and the clumping habit of the esculenta. The Aloha has black/dark purple leaves with neon green veins and stems.

• Light: Full to part sun.
• Soil: Rich well drained, keep moist, do not let dry out between waterings.

PRICE IS FOR (1) HEALHTY WELL ROOTED STARTER PLANT THAT IS SHIPPED IN IT'S POT. It is stongly recommend that you do not transplant into giant pots upon arrival. Give the plant time to out grow the pot its in.

PLEASE remember these are "STARTER PLANTS"!!! Please DO NOT transplant them into giant pots!!! You will kill it if you do! Leave it in the pot it comes in until it out grows it.
We always send the biggest plants first! Whatever the size you get it will be healthy, well rooted and disease free!!!
NOTICE: If your plant arrives badly damaged I will need photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. I will need photos of the box and the plant in order to send out a replacement. A leaf that comes off during shipment or minor branch breakage does not constitute serious damage. I will only replace the plant if it is badly broken, crushed, or dead on arrival. Some wilting and/or yellowing of leaves or leaf lose it normal.

Do not place this young plant in direct sunlight. Gradually introduce it to more sun over the coarse of a few weeks. We are inspected by the state of Mississippi Agriculture Dept. We routinely spray our plants with insecticides and fungicides as preventive measures. WARNING: Always retrieve packages from the mail as soon as it is delivered. If left in a mailbox during freezing temps it will kill the plant(s). If left in mailbox during extreme heat it will kill the plant(s), It is the buyers responsibility to track the package and get it as soon as it is delivered. Tracking information automatically uploads so buyer is able to see exactly what day there package will arrive. So buyers please make sure that you are going to be able to get your package as soon as it arrives. Seller not responsible for plants that are dead due to being left out in the mailbox in extreme heat or cold.

Orders are prepared and packaged for shipment on Monday afternoon's and Thursday afternoon's. Orders ship out on Tuesday mornings and Friday mornings.
We are in the greenhouses working the rest of the time. Growing and caring for these plants is very time consuming so that is where the bulk of our time is spent.
We believe in quality family time that is why we are closed on weekends and all holidays.
