Calathea Beauty Star is a true beauty. The intricately patterned plant yields dark green leaves with thin light pink stripes so perfect they almost look hand painted. Calathea Beauty Star brings personality and color to any indoor space.
As a member of the Prayer Plant family, the Beauty Star is interesting in the way that its foliage moves with the direction of the light. This specific Calathea is a cultivar of Calathea ornata, which are fairly popular tropical houseplants known for their bright colors and unique leaf patterns.
The ideal Calathea Beauty Star care regimen includes a medium to bright indirect light and high humidity levels. We also recommend watering your tropical plant when the top inch of the soil has dried. It's important to note that the elements of tap water can stress your plant out and it is best to water your plant with purified or distilled water.
These indoor plants express stress by foliage turning brown. To avoid issues of root rot and water-logged soil, we recommend planting your Calathea in a well draining potting soil in a pot with drainage holes. This advice goes not only for Calathea, but for all indoor house plants.
Calathea Beauty Star is a pet-friendly plant that will add unique flare and color to a space.
