About this Variety

Tuberous begonias were discovered in the forests of Bolivia and Peru. Next to bedding begonias 'semperflorens' tuberous begonias are probably the best-known, most widely grown and are enjoyed by the average gardener around the world. Growing and caring for begonias is easy, especially when growing from tubers. Golden Balcony is a cascading variety ideally planted in hanging baskets, hung on decks or in pots on patios.

Growing Instructions

Plant early spring so that it can get established before the hot weather. Simply expand the soil following the directions. Fill the nursey pot with 2/3 of the medium, position the bulb, roots down, pointy end up and cover with the remaining soil. Water well, not letting the pot dry out. Give it the exposure needed, protect against freezing temperatures and sit back to enjoy watching it grow.

Care Tip

In the North, tubers should be started indoors in late winter or early spring. Once weather permits, after danger of frost, they can be moved outdoors. Plant them concave side up. Growing begonias from tubers requires warm temperatures. These are not plants for the deep south or desert southwest as they do not grow well in hot, arid environments without special care. Shade from hot sunlight and allow some sun. Keep containers moist, but avoid overwatering. Removing any wilted leaves or flowers will encourage the plants to produce more flowers. Bulbs are essentially storage mechanisms and already contain everything needed to produce flowers. There is no need to fertilize them. After flowering, remove the root ball from the pot and plant in your garden prior to frost if USDA zone appropriate for flowers next season.

Keeps them happy.
Style: Bunny
The interactive aspect is perfect: I squeak it to get her attention for fetch, she enjoys a solo dental chew session gnawing on the durable ears and body, and then we play tug-of-war with the long rope legs. It satisfies all her instincts in one cute, bunny-shaped package. The material is soft on her gums but tough enough to withstand serious chewing. Her teeth look cleaner and she's happily worn out. Total win!

Stuffless dog toy! Good buy 😊
Style: Bunny
My dog loves to tear her toys apart usually it’s to get all of the stuffing out. Lol so we decided to try some toys without the stuffing and this was definitely a good buy. She loves it. Very soft and she has not ruined it in almost 3 months. Very cute toy and happy with the company would buy again. Quality is very strong for a dog that tears toys up in a day. lol🤣

Tough Bunny
Style: Bunny
So far so good. We’ve been able to play tug-of-war with it several times and it’s not ripped apart. That’s why I gave it 5 stars. My dog has big teeth and a strong body. So this bunny is tough Only time will tell if it’s really worth the money

Hard to Destroy
Style: Bunny
My puppy hasn’t been able to destroy it yet. All other toys have only lasted about 10 minutes.
