They are followed by cone-like fruit which persist on branches throughout the winter. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Liriodendron tulipifera prefers fertile, loose, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but tolerates partial shade. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Tulip Tree is an attractive fast growing tree, perfect as a specimen plant or a shade tree, alone or planted in groups, popular for its beautiful, bright autumn foliage.
