- Myrtillocactus geometrizans cristata 'Crested Blue Candle Cactus' is a crested, fan-like form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans which is a clumping, tree-like cactus that can reach over 6 feet in height.
- Easily propagated from offsets.
- Produces small green flowers that typically bloom in the spring.
- Hardy to Zone 10 (30° F). Myrtillocactus will not survive a hard frost. However, cactus can easily be grown indoors under grow lights or in a sunny window if there is a risk of temperatures dropping below 35° F. If there is only a risk of freezing temperatures for a few days, most succulents do just fine outside if they are covered by frost cloth or a sheet until temperatures increase (I'm talking to you, Zone 9 friends).
Myrtillocactus Care: As with all cactus, it is best to follow a "soak and dry" schedule where you water your plants deeply (until water runs out the bottom drain holes), and then allow your soil to dry completely before watering again. Cactus should always be planted in well-draining cactus and succulent soil and in a pot or container that has drain holes.

Great usability
I prefer this version over the non-foldable stick, as this one I can fit into my bag and carry it out easily. Great size and has a locking feature to prevent it from folding up when throwing. Highly recommend, my dogs love fetch and it is hard to chew if they get their hands on it.

Almost Perfect
If you’ve ever seen these things, the foldable ones are just as good as the standard ones. I just wish when you folded it up there was a way to lock it into that position. When you unfold it to play, you lock it into place with the orange locking slide so it doesn’t fold up on you. But when you’re done playing and fold it up, there’s no way to lock it into that position, it can keep unfolding if you carry it around with you, plus the orange locking slide keeps sliding up and down. It’s not a huge deal, but they could’ve made it better.
