3 chunky plugs shipped in a mini greenhouse
Early Spring (cold soil) - plant approximately 2 weeks before your last frost date.
Scoop, Bon Bon Scoop and Focal Scoop Scabiosa showcases large, fluffy, dome-shaped blooms in a stunning array of pastel and deep jewel tones, adding both texture and vibrant color to floral arrangements. With tall, strong, wiry stems and exceptional vase life, this variety is a favorite among floral designers and flower growers seeking unique statement blooms. Thriving in full-sun cutting gardens, Scoop Scabiosa produces multiple flushes of flowers throughout the season when planted in the fall in warm climates or early spring in cooler regions.
This remarkable variety is a groundbreaking addition to Garden Club, offering home gardeners access to Scabiosa varieties previously available only to professional growers at high prices and large minimum orders. An interspecific hybrid of Scabiosa caucasica and Scabiosa atropurpurea, Scoop Scabiosa combines the strength and large flower size of perennial types with the vibrant color range of annuals, minus the tangling and brittleness often associated with the latter. These plants exhibit exceptional hybrid vigor, yielding up to 50 stems per plant per season. Though highly productive, they can become rangy if not pruned regularly. Scabiosa thrives in the cool season, as it doesn’t tolerate extreme heat well. While frost tolerant, it may not survive in exposed areas subject to hard freezes. Patent-protected and propagation-prohibited, this variety is truly a game-changer for cut flower enthusiasts.
Scabiosa Bon Bon Scoop French Vanilla is a patented plant bred by Danziger.
