  • This charming set pairs three Tillandsia air plants, members of the Bromeliaceae family native to Central and South America, with naturally pink-hued sea urchin shells. Tillandsias are epiphytes, meaning they absorb water and nutrients through their leaves rather than roots, making them one of the most uniquely low-effort plants you can own. This set arrives beautifully gift wrapped and ready to give or display right away.

Each Tillandsia features slender, arching leaves in silvery green, with a soft fuzz of trichomes that give them a velvety texture. Nestled inside pink sea urchin shells, the plants create a natural, sculptural look that works beautifully on shelves, windowsills, coffee tables, or grouped together as a centerpiece. The compact size of each shell makes the set easy to arrange in any space.

This set makes an ideal gift for plant lovers, minimalist decorators, or anyone who wants living greenery without the commitment of soil-based plants. The plants are best placed where curious cats, dogs, and young children cannot easily reach them, as the delicate shells and small plant size make them easy to knock over. Display them in a bright spot and enjoy a conversation-starting piece of living decor.
  • Tillandsia air plants thrive in bright, indirect light. A spot near a window that receives several hours of filtered sunlight each day suits them perfectly. Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure, which can scorch the delicate leaves, and keep them away from deep shade, which will slow their growth significantly.

Water your air plants by misting them lightly two to three times per week, or by removing them from the shells and soaking them in room-temperature water for 20 to 30 minutes once a week. After soaking, shake off any excess water gently and set them upside down to dry for an hour before returning them to their shells. Good air circulation helps prevent moisture buildup at the base.

No soil is needed for Tillandsia air plants. Their roots serve only as anchors, and all nutrients are absorbed through the leaves. The pink urchin shells act as decorative holders rather than traditional planters. You can add a small amount of aquarium gravel or sand inside the shell if you want extra stability for the plant.

Tillandsias prefer temperatures between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 32 degrees Celsius). They enjoy moderate humidity and do especially well in kitchens and bathrooms where moisture levels tend to be higher. Keep them away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and heating units, all of which can dry them out quickly.

Feed your Tillandsias once a month using a bromeliad or air plant fertilizer diluted to one quarter strength. Add the fertilizer to your misting or soaking water and apply it sparingly. Regular feeding encourages healthy growth and can even promote blooming, though fertilizer is optional for keeping the plants alive and vibrant.
  • USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11 | Minimum temperature: 50°F (10°C)

Tillandsia air plants can be displayed outdoors year-round in Zones 9 through 11, where temperatures remain consistently warm. In cooler zones, bring them indoors before nighttime temperatures drop below 50°F (10°C). They are best kept as indoor plants in most of the continental United States, where frost and freezing temperatures would cause permanent damage to the foliage.

Lasted a few months
This is our last picture of the rooster, as he is being set to the trash today, because new rooster is on its way!! Yes, your dog will rip the face off and pull some stuffing out quickly. Let him. I was amazed this tore up toy lasted so long. If your dog likes to dig out the squeakers, this is the perfect one of the Go Dog toys, because it has SEVEN squeakers inside, whereas the duck only has one squeaker. Bella (in the pic) is the epic chewer, and this was a good toy for her. It took her a few months to get all the squeakers out. She loves her rooster. She sleeps with it and is very attached to it. It is worth the investment.

🐔 Best chikum toy, my puppers love it.
We have two small dogs and they both love this chicken. We are on our 2nd one, it's not indestructible, but built tough and they love all the squeakers. 1st one lasted a little over 2 months, which is a long time for a beloved toy to hold up in this house. I too love this chicken, I mean just look at its funny expression. It's fun to watch these two play with it and I chuckle when I find it in different parts of the house with a startled expression on its face. It seems to say, how did I get here?! What's happening?!

Best dog toys ever. They outlast and are more appealing to my dogs than those that guarantee long life.
We have been buying goDog products from our veterinarian. It takes, literally, years for the dogs to kill them completely. The big toys, such as the chicken, die faster, but even the little mutt loves it. Now the good part: half the price of our veterinarian. Not that I don't want to support them, but $27 bucks for a chicken doomed to die at some point, seems ridiculous. Some of the small sizes are already 4 years old, but the chicken doesn't come in small. Even when they worked at it until the squeaker was dead, the rest of the chicken survived more than a year of constant dragging and tugging. It washed up very good, but we did have to occasionally stitch up larger holes to prevent washing machine loss of stuffing.

My dogs love this
My dogs love this stinking toy. I’m about to buy another one though bc they are tearing it up. But overall they are pretty rough with it and suckle on it. I didn’t think this would be such a hit for them but I’m ok with repurchasing it for the amount of love they have for this!

Almost worked!
I have an EXTREMELY destructive Boston Terrier. She loves playing with her toys, but she loves destroying them even more. "Chicken" was her Christmas present and she loved him. She did pull his eyes off right away, fortunately she didn't swallow them, but I was excited that she couldn't immediately shred him. Then she found his weak spot. She managed to grab hold of the tag and tore the seam, and now she just plays with Chicken's torn up husk. He lasted 3 days, which was longer than any other stuffed animal. I would purchase again, but I would cut the tag as short as I could before giving it to her. It was a good run, but I'm still looking for a soft you she can't destroy!
