Children rave about the soft, terrycloth NIKO! This NIKO is specially designed for swimmers, beach days, and people who live in rainy climates. Our terrycloth fabric is a blend of 80% cotton (for absorbability) and 20% polyester (for stretch).
We consider the terrycloth NIKO our all-season product, perfect for summer, spring, fall, and winter. Wet or dry, this NIKO car seat cover makes children feel like they’re wrapped in a warm towel!
The NIKO is universally designed to fit almost all children’s car seats at the front-facing stage, including:
| Graco | Britax | Evenflo |
| Clek | Chicco | Maxi-Cosi |
| Safety 1st | Cosco | UPPAbaby |
| Peg Perego | Most Diono models | Most Nuna models |
The NIKO takes just seconds to put on, and take off. The stretchy fabric and double-stitched elastic border work like a fitted sheet for your child’s car seat.
The seat panel is lined with water-resistant fabric for added protection against potty training accidents, wet bathing suits, and juice spills. While this is our most absorbent NIKO, note that the waterproof lining does not cover the entire NIKO, just the seat area. (For the comfort of your child, it's best for the back panel to be "breathable.")
Say goodbye to filthy car seats for your kids! Wash and re-use over and over. Get two NIKOs for 10% off so you’ll always have an extra when one is in the wash!
Each NIKO includes:
- High quality, long-lasting fabric you can machine wash and dry
- Waterproof lining in the seat panel
- Two separate openings for different buckle placements
- Two pockets per side (total of four) to keep your child’s snacks and small toys at hand
- Openings on each side for easy access to a car seat’s cup holders
For warmer seasons and climates, we recommend the NIKO in 100% Cotton. For cooler seasons and climates, we recommend our blanket-soft plush NIKOs.
Read more about the NIKO’s safety testing here.
How to Install the NIKO
Much like clothing or bedding, you may choose to wash the NIKO before the first use. This is optional, since the NIKO is free of harmful chemicals, such as flame retardants.
After placing the NIKO on your car seat, pull the car seat’s safety straps through the slits in the back panel of the NIKO. Close those slits with the NIKO’s snap closures so that as much of your car seat as possible is covered by the NIKO.
Pull the buckle through the opening in the seat. If your car seat has integrated cup holders, open the snaps on the sides and open the cup holder openings so that they don’t block the holders.
