Ctenanthe lubbersiana 'Golden Mosaic' is an eye-catching cultivar from the Brazilian tropics, where it thrives in the shaded understory of rainforests. This member of the Marantaceae family is renowned for its striking yellow and green patterned foliage and its unique nyctinastic (prayer-like) leaf movement, folding up at night and spreading during the day.
Distinctive Features
- Foliage Pattern: Oblong leaves with painterly swirls and patches of golden-yellow variegation across a medium green background.
- Leaf Movement: Exhibits nyctinasty, where leaves shift position with the day-night cycle.
- Compact Form: Naturally forms low mounds, making it ideal for tabletops or groundcover in shaded tropical gardens.
Care Tips
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light; too much sun can fade variegation.
- Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy; sensitive to drying out.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity; mist frequently or use a pebble tray if indoors.
- Media: Use a rich, well-draining mix with added peat or coco fibre.
- Temperature: Best between 18–26°C; avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly with a half-strength balanced liquid fertiliser during active growth.
- Repotting: Repot annually or when rootbound to refresh soil and promote healthy growth.

Quite useful
I got this for the wife and she has enjoyed it. Being water resistant has really been nice and the battery lasts quite a while.

Very impressed!
I love this thing! It has a ton of attachments. I don’t think I’ve used them all yet. I love the size, it fits in my hand very well. It seems quieter and seems to vibrate less than other ones I’ve tried. I haven’t gotten a super close shave with this, but I don’t expect to with electric.
One bonus for me has been because of its size and the fact that it’s not very loud, I’ve been able to give my senior ragdoll cat a much needed belly trim! He’s completely unbothered by this razor.

My favorite toothbrush for my fur babies!
Color: Pink (2-pack)
I think these brushes are the easiest way to brush your fur babies teeth. I can get into their mouths and really see in there and brush each tooth and make sure the tarter is off. They even assist by trying to bite the brush and I use toothpaste for dog and gently brush back and forth first the front teeth then the side teeth then the inside teeth and the top of the teeth then the inside of the bottom and top teeth and I end with the left inside top and bottom teeth. I use vanilla mint toothpaste for dogs because my dogs are allergic to proteins. Their teeth look so white and their vet comments that their teeth look so great and clean. She does want them of course to have their yearly cleaning but she said there is no rush because their teeth are so clean and she sees no dental disease. I make sure that I wash the brushes daily with soap and keep them open after use otherwise mold will grow on them if you shut them in the case they come in. My pups weigh 6 lbs and 7 lbs and are Maltese females. They cooperate fully with me brushing their teeth because I started when they were puppies and now they are one and two years old. These brushes are lightweight and not expensive at all. I usually buy several at a time to make sure I have clean ones on hand just like you would change a human toothbrush monthly. Each pup gets its own toothbrush and I label the case for each with a marker. I like these better than a regular toothbrush because it’s 360 degrees and the pup can chew on it without hurting themselves or the bristles coming off. Highly recommend!
