The Willamette Valley Wildflower Mix is an amalgamation of indigenous floral species carefully curated to thrive in the unique conditions of the Willamette Valley. Comprising a diverse array of flora, this mix encapsulates the rich biodiversity of the region, featuring varieties such as Dwarf Corn Flower, Siberian Wallflower, Annual Baby's Breath, Russel Lupine, Riverbank Lupine, Lanceleaf Coreopsis, and several others.
Each species within this mix contributes distinct characteristics, from the delicate hues of Baby Blue Eyes to the vibrant burst of color from the California Poppy. These wildflowers offer a visual tapestry, boasting shades of blue, yellow, red, and purple, providing an enchanting and natural allure to any landscape.
These wildflowers are adept at flourishing in the moderate, moist climate of the Willamette Valley, thriving in well-drained soils and basking in ample sunlight. Additionally, they often require minimal maintenance, making them an ideal choice for both seasoned gardeners and novices.
Once these wildflowers have bloomed, harvesting can be conducted by carefully trimming the stems, allowing for a delightful indoor arrangement or the preservation of the flowers' natural beauty. It's advisable to collect the flowers in the morning when their moisture content is at its peak to ensure a longer vase life.
Originating from the fertile soils of the Willamette Valley, this mix stands as a testament to the region's biodiversity and offers an opportunity to cultivate a piece of this unique landscape in any garden.
