Chinese fan palms (Livistona chinensis) are a very popular summertime patio plant but also make an excellent indoor plant for a sunny room. This neat palm is slow-growing and has a single, upright trunk and beautiful, large leaves. Chinese Fan palms require FULL SUN

LOCATION & LIGHT:

Chinese Fan palms do best with at least four hours of direct sunlight daily. A south or west-facing window is best.

WATER:

Fan Palm grown indoors require consistent moisture, but never soggy soil. Check the soil levels often and water deeply when the soil is halfway dry. Allow the plant soil to dry out a little more in the winter than in the summer. A daily mist of water helps to keep humidity levels high. If frond tips become brown, the humidity is too low.

I gave this a 4 on easy to install and sturdiness because I wasn’t able to actually drill it into the wall because of the way my apartment wall is, not this product, so I cannot speak much on those 2 fields. It stands up straight on it’s own and I only need to place it on the radiator and do not need to tie/drill it to something else to keep it standing up. I have a guest bath that I have remodeled, and I wanted something understated and still elegant enough to go with my very pretty bathroom. I believe it's a great buy for us! I will be using it for face cloths, extra hand towels, a candle or 2, a small tray for jewelry, and a picture and plant. Good to go!!
