Each plantable paper skeleton key is embedded with a carefully selected mix of annual and perennial flower seeds. The seed paper keys make charming place cards and favors that keep on giving. Daisies, poppies, snapdragons, marigolds, zinnia, cosmos and other pretty garden flowers await guests who plant their seed paper skeleton key. Affordable and earth-friendly, each plantable skeleton key is made from recycled paper that will naturally decompose as the plants grow. Just plant under a thin layer of fertile soil in warm sunlight and keep wet to grow.

Photos show some of the ways to display the plantable keys with tags. The tags are a self-print tag that you can print and make yourself using our PDF template. It is free with your purchase of the keys. The template is fillable - you can type in your own text and then print. A template to print planting instructions on the backs of the tags is also included. You may also order key sets from us that include the tags already printed.

Set of 100 keys. You can add as many sets as you need to the shopping cart and then checkout.  Sold as plantable skeleton keys only, just the keys + complementary tag template PDF. Keys are 3 inches tall, about 1.3 inches wide. You may choose to add on a set of hearts to tie onto the keys. They are loose in a packet for you to tie together.

Photos illustrate a variety of DIY ways to display the keys. The tags shown are examples of tags you may print and make yourself using the complementary template PDF. You can use the template to print out the tags on your own cardstock and add names, either by handwriting them in, or typing them into the fillable template and then printing. There are 6 different styles of tag to choose from for the tags, as seen in the photos. Please let us know in the Special Instructions box at checkout if you would like to use the template, and if so, which style of border you prefer for the tags: Top, middle, or bottom (1-6) as shown in the photos.

There are 40+ color choices for the keys. Select one from the drop down menu or select 'other' and let us know which you prefer in the Special Instructions box at checkout. All paper is made-to-order to promote freshness. Through winter, the wait time after most orders are placed is about 4-7 business days before an order ships. During spring and summer, orders take longer, 2-3 weeks. If you need your order within a specific time frame, please contact us to see if your order can arrive in time.
