1. Can you directly grow plants in it?

No, this cannot be done as there is no hole at the bottom of the planter. Also growing a plant directly in it would make it exceptionally heavy hindering the maintenance of these planters.

2. How can its maintenance be done?

We suggest cleaning it with a wet cloth with some pitambari on it and it should remain as it is.

The product is a traditional thathera shape called Ranjan, this is a huge hit, especially in the beautiful Srinagar around the wedding season. Here it is used for exchanging sweets like ladoos and panjiri.

Yes, it doesn't collapse or fold or anything however, you can put it in a bag and it will leave a nice cavity for you to place books and other materials in. I have brought it with me to coffee shops. The only reason I am giving this product 4-stars is that it is not perfectly stable. There is a slight wobble during typing. It is not extreme enough to really get in the way of use but it certainly isn't a perfect product like some people claim. Perhaps they were using lighter or smaller laptops.
