Cultivation method:
Sow seeds directly into the ground in spring or late summer for a fall harvest. Plant 1/4" (6 mm) deep and space seeds 1" (2.5 cm) apart in rows 12" (30 cm) apart. Once plants emerge, thin them to 12 to 14 inches apart for optimum growth.
Rapini thrives in well-drained soils that are kept evenly moist. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer (20-20-20) to promote fast, healthy growth. Watch for high temperatures, as they can accelerate flowering and reduce the quality of the sprouts.
An early and tasty variety!
Rapini 'Riccia di San Marzano Quarantina' is perfect for gardeners looking for a quick and bountiful harvest. With its curly leaves and tender shoots, it will enrich your stir-fries, pastas and soups with an authentic and delicious flavor. A must-have for Italian vegetable lovers!
