Outgoing party girl Dottie was discovered and patented in Florida in 1998; chosen and bred for her deepest, dark, blackish-green leaves. Each glossy and quilted leaf is highlighted with a zippy, bright pink halo and pink midrib, her undersides a flashy purple; a fancy, taffeta party dress. When she settles down and gets older, Dottie's mature shape is a round mound with her leaves all arranged in a nice circle of around 12" give or take a few. She loves misting and partying with her planty friends.
