Where do you manufacture the natural lubricant with organic aloe vera?

YESforLOV is a French brand, and therefore, all our cosmetic products are manufactured in France according to very strict specifications on manufacturing practices.

This intimate aloe lubricant is made in the alps-Maritimes department by formulation experts. It has been tested under the supervision of doctors, gynaecologists, and dermatologists.

What is the difference between a natural intimate lubricant and an organic intimate lubricant?

A lubricant is said to be natural when it contains more than 95% ingredients of natural origin.

As a result, most water-based lubricants claim to be natural because they contain a high concentration of purified water. However, a lot of lubricants on the market that claim to be natural still have controversial ingredients, so stay vigilant when it comes to reading the ingredients in the products that you buy.

A lubricant is said to be organic when it contains 100% organic ingredients or if the product in question is certified by COSMOS. To qualify for the COSMOS label, the product must comply with all of the following rules:

- 95% of the plant ingredients in the formula are of an organic origin.
- At least 20% of the ingredients of the total formula are of an organic origin.
- Its packaging must be recyclable and respect biodiversity.
-The product must not contain any trace of GMOs and petrochemical ingredients.

Unfortunately, the ECOCERT certification body is not able to classify intimate lubricants with the COS-MOS labels, because these types of products are not considered to be cosmetic or medical devices.

This is very unfortunate for us, because we would love to have our lubricant certified by this French approved organisation. That being said, we can say that we have respected all the key standards that the certification requires.

At the same time, we have to remind you that this lubricant cannot be 100% organic since it contains water. We have chosen to mix it with water because 100% organic lubricant, which use vegetable oils, are not compatible with condoms. Although the organic label itself would look nice on our boxes, we prefer to prioritise your safety and health.

Does this natural and organic intimate lubricant respect the physiological pH of my vagina?

This natural YESforLOV lubricant with aloe vera respects the physiological pH of your mucous mem-branes. This means that it has a pH close to that of the intimate area and will not disturb your vaginal flora, which would run the risk of making you experience dysbiosis.

The natural glycerine-free lube preserves the acidity of the vagina and maintains the right balance of vaginal microbiota. Depending on your menstrual cycle, the pH changes. During the non-fertile period, the vagina pH is rather acidic (3.5-4.5) and during ovulation, it becomes slightly more alkaline and neutral.

Is this intimate lubricant based on aloe vera spermicidal?

The YESforLOV glycerine-free lube is formulated with natural and organic ingredients. It contains no endocrine disrupters, controversial ingredients, or cosmetic active ingredients that could prevent fertilisation. 

This lubricant is not a contraceptive and does not have the ability to destroy spermatozoa, reduce their mobility, or promote pregnancy.

Its pH is physiological and slightly acidic, close to that the vulva.  

For women seeking motherhood: You can find lubricants with a higher pH, better for promoting sperm mobility, like our comfort and performance lubricant that has a pH of 7.  

According to our research, the normal body pH is between 7.2 and 7.8 during ovulation.
