Germination
To germinate Hibiscus trionum seeds, follow these steps: Start by scarifying the hard seed coat to enhance water absorption. You can lightly scratch the seed coat or soak the seeds in warm water for a few hours. Prepare a well-draining seed-starting mix and sow the scarified seeds on the surface, gently pressing them into the soil without burying them too deeply. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Place the container in a warm location with temperatures around 70-85°F (21-29°C). Germination typically takes about 7-14 days. Once seedlings have developed a few sets of leaves, they can be transplanted into larger pots or outdoor locations. Hibiscus trionum is adaptable and thrives in full sun. The process will lead to the growth of these delicate flowers, adding a touch of ephemeral beauty to your garden.
