They are commonly found at sea level, but have been seen at elevations of up to 1,300 meters. This wild air plant is similar in style to Caput Medusae and Butzii, but what makes Bulbosa special is its exaggerated bulbous base and firmly "waving" leaves. Bulbosa enjoy lower light levels and more frequent waterings than some of the more xeric air plants (IE Xerographica). If possible, this plant should always be turned upside down after watering to allow any water to escape from its pseudobulbous base.
