Nice hose filter for filling hot tubs
Style: Standard Filter
I bought this for filling up my hot tub. It does the trick. Straight tap water was difficult to balance the ph and keep it stable. When I fill the hot tub using the filter, the water is more balanced and easier to maintain. I used it for two 390gal refills before I noticed it was getting slower, so ordered another one. I haven’t used it for drinking water so can’t comment on the taste. It does seem to help with hardness though.

Clean and Fresh Water on the Go
Style: Standard Filter
I recently purchased the Camco TastePURE RV Water Filter with a flexible hose, and it has significantly improved the quality of the water in our RV. This new and advanced inline water filter offers a perfect combination of convenience, effectiveness, and durability, making it an essential addition for any RV owner.
First and foremost, the performance of the Camco TastePURE Water Filter is impressive. It effectively removes impurities, odors, and bad tastes from the water, providing clean and fresh drinking water directly from the tap. The advanced filtration system reduces chlorine, sediment, and other contaminants, ensuring the water is safe and pleasant to drink.
The inclusion of a flexible hose is a standout feature. The hose makes it easy to connect the filter to various water sources without straining or kinking. This flexibility is particularly useful when dealing with tight or awkward spaces often encountered at campgrounds or RV parks. The hose also helps to relieve pressure on the connections, reducing the risk of leaks.
Installation is straightforward and user-friendly. The filter comes with clear instructions, and the connections are standard, making it easy to attach to most water sources and RV plumbing systems. The quick and hassle-free setup ensures you can start enjoying clean water almost immediately.
The durability of the Camco TastePURE Water Filter is another strong point. Made from high-quality materials, the filter is built to withstand the rigors of outdoor use and frequent travel. The sturdy construction ensures it can handle varying water pressures without cracking or leaking, providing reliable performance throughout its lifespan.
One of the major advantages of this water filter is its versatility. It is not only suitable for RVs but can also be used for boats, trailers, and even at home with garden hoses. This multipurpose functionality makes it a valuable investment for anyone looking to improve water quality in various settings.
Maintenance of the filter is minimal and straightforward. The replaceable filter cartridges are easy to change, and the clear housing allows you to monitor the filter's condition and know when it's time for a replacement. This convenience ensures that maintaining clean and safe water is a simple and manageable task.
In terms of value for money, the Camco TastePURE Water Filter is excellent. The combination of high-quality filtration, ease of use, and durability makes it a cost-effective solution for ensuring clean water in your RV. The peace of mind that comes with knowing you have access to safe drinking water is well worth the investment.
In summary, the Camco TastePURE RV Water Filter with a flexible hose is a must-have accessory for any RV owner. Its advanced filtration system, durable construction, and easy installation make it a standout choice for improving water quality on the go. I highly recommend this water filter to anyone looking to enhance their RV experience with clean and fresh drinking water. Awesome filter! Nasty campground water no longer...
Style: Standard Filter
I have run these for years in my RV and they work killer! Here's some more in-depth thoughts:
Pros:
- These work better than I had expected. Just hook them up to the water source, hook your hose to it, run it to your trailer and viola` clean and good tasting water. Some of the places we have visited have had water that I wouldn't feed to my worst enemy. With this thing attached, it's very good tasting.
- I like the hose attachment that comes with this to aide in adding flexibility to the system and not put too much strain on the system. I have bought so many of these, I now use one attaching the filter to the nozzle, one out of the filter to my hose, and one attaching my hose to the trailer.
Notes:
- I will note that the manufacturer suggesting using these for only 1 camping season, and this makes sense. That's what I do, and it seems to work out great. It's not too much $ to replace every season.
- Another note, when first putting this filter into service (just the first time of the season, subsequent hook-ups wont do this) there will be a bunch of carbon (black in the water) that comes out of the faucet in your trailer. This is perfectly fine, safe, and of no issue. This is the filter breaking in and getting the extra carbon out of the system. There is no health concern with this happening. I just run the faucet until it clears up, and then we're good to go for the rest of the season.
- Last note, when we unhook from our camping spot, I swing the filter in my hand with my arm extended (using centrifugal force, not centrifical, look it up) to get the residual water out of the filter so it doesn't sit in there and spoil. I do this until I get most of the water drops to stop, leave it out on the counter to dry, and boom, it's perfect the next time.
Cons:
- None to report
Overall this filter does a great job taking care of some seriously nasty campground water that we've encountered all over the Southwest US. I cannot recommend it any higher.

Clean, Great-Tasting Water Made Easy with Camco Tastepure
Style: Standard Filter
I installed the Camco Tastepure RV inline water filter on our rig, and it’s another example of why I’ve come to trust Camco products. The reinforced strain relief hose is a small but incredibly smart feature—it keeps the connection between the filter, hose, and RV kink-free and easy to manage. Setup was simple, and the whole system feels sturdy and well-designed.
A tip I’ve learned through experience: before putting a new filter into service, run water through the internal charcoal filter for 30 - 45 seconds. This flushes out any loose charcoal bits and ensures the first water you drink is crystal clean and tastes amazing. After that, connecting to the RV is straightforward, and you immediately notice how much better the water tastes.
Whether filling up a glass or cooking, it’s made a real difference in our RV experience. Reliable, easy to use, and excellent tasting water every time - I highly recommend this to any RV owner who cares about water quality on the road.
