A Classic Full-Sun Perennial with Airy Blue Color.

Russian Sage is a dependable full-sun perennial grown for its silvery aromatic foliage, upright branching stems, and clouds of lavender-blue flowers from midsummer into fall. Its soft, airy texture gives sunny borders a light, meadow-like look while adding long-lasting color during the hottest part of the growing season. Use it where you want movement, fragrance, pollinator value, and a cool blue contrast against green shrubs, ornamental grasses, and warm-colored perennials.

Silver Foliage That Works Before and After Bloom.

Even before the flowers open, Russian Sage adds value with gray-green to silver foliage and pale stems that brighten hot, dry planting beds. The foliage has an herbal fragrance when brushed or crushed, making it useful near paths, patios, and garden edges. Its silver color pairs beautifully with coneflowers, black-eyed Susan, yarrow, catmint, lavender, salvia, sedum, ornamental grasses, roses, and other sun-loving plants.

Lavender-Blue Flowers for Pollinators.

From midsummer into fall, Russian Sage produces branched panicles of blue to violet-blue flowers that create a hazy, cloud-like display above the foliage. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators are drawn to the blooms, making this plant a strong choice for habitat-friendly gardens. Plant it in groups or sweeping drifts for the best effect, especially in sunny borders and pollinator plantings.

Deer Resistant and Drought Tolerant Once Established.

Russian Sage is generally avoided by deer and rabbits because of its aromatic foliage. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and performs well in hot, dry, sunny locations. It is a practical choice for low-water landscapes, gravel gardens, curbside beds, slopes, rock gardens, and other areas where many flowering perennials struggle in summer heat.

Best in Full Sun and Well-Drained Soil.

Plant Russian Sage in full sun with well-drained soil. Lean, sandy, gravelly, or average garden soil is usually better than rich, wet soil. Avoid overwatering and heavy fertilizer, which can encourage floppy growth. Cut plants back in late winter or early spring before new growth begins to refresh the clump and support strong flowering stems for the season ahead.

Terrific sunscreen!
I found out about the Sun screen from a youtuber who does Amazon favorites videos. At first, I thought she was nuts for advertising a $32 sun screen especially for the size it is. I really wanted an everyday sun screen that wasn't thick and goopy. I don't mind of I'm going to the beach or pool but a lot of them are a little much for every day use. Im trying to be better at protecting my face.. When I came across this I decided to splurge and try it. I hate to admit it but I'm so glad I did! It has a slight scent but nothing over powering at all. Its truly a weightless sunscreen that is perfect! I put it on before work and it doesn't make me look greasy or anything. You could probably use it under make up of you really wanted to, I just haven't tried it yet. My only complaint is the price but I haven't tried anything as good ad this! I've seen Ulta have sales on it every once in a while.

Soothing, refreshing, and effective for most uses
I found this sunscreen back when it was still reasonable priced ($10 for a bottle this size) and am now completely 100% addicted as the price continues to rise. Sigh. I don't use this anywhere but my face and neck. Putting this on my face makes me go "ahhhhh". I break out easily, burn easily, and haaaate the feeling of sunscreen. Previously, I used Neutrogena 45 or 55+ ultra-sheer dry touch, and I still use that sometimes when I expect more intense exposure, but the Coola cucumber just feels so much better. I don't actually know if I would burn in cases where I still use my other 45+ sunscreen since I haven't taken the chance. I use Coola for 30-45 minute pool sessions, and hikes between 30-90 minutes. I haven't trusted it for things like skiing, 3 hour hikes, or boating where you get intense sun and a lot of moisture exposure. Buy if you want a lightweight, refreshing face sunscreen for walks in the sun, lounging poolside, or mild-moderate hikes.

Organic Sunscreen with an Air-Brushed Finish
I've been using the Coola Organic sunscreen on my face for about 5 years now. I love that it protects my skin without dangerous chemicals. The product has virtually no scent and has a pleasant creamy, but not greasy, texture. An additional perk is that it creates an instant "air-brushed" looking finish to my skin. Note: I have found that you have to shake the tube (especially when new) or else the product emerges a bit watery at first. I've always used the non-tinted formula so I can't comment on how the tinted formula works. Also, the "cooling" aspect of the product seems more of hype than reality. But, over all, this is an excellent sunscreen.
