ZZ Plant Care Guide
Caring for a Zanzibar Plant (ZZ Plant) is a breeze — that’s one of the main reasons people love this tropical beauty. It’s incredibly low-maintenance and can thrive almost anywhere, whether you’ve got bright light or a low-light corner. Just keep it out of direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.
ZZ Plants typically grow around 2 to 3 feet tall, though some can reach up to 5 feet when fully mature. If you live in USDA zone 10 or warmer, you can even grow it outdoors. In cooler areas, it makes the perfect indoor houseplant.
When it comes to soil, make sure it drains well. Use a pot with drainage holes, or add a layer of gravel or marbles at the bottom to help with excess water. And remember, less is more when it comes to watering your ZZ Plant.
