Pinto Bean Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds offer a resilient, high-yielding bush bean variety valued for its versatility, rich flavor, and reliable performance in hot, dry conditions. Known botanically as Phaseolus vulgaris, pinto beans grow on upright bushes with short runners and thrive in full sun. They are typically harvested as dry beans for long-term storage but can also be picked early as tender snap beans. With their robust, full-bodied flavor, pinto beans are a staple in Mexican and Southwestern cooking, shining in chili, refried beans, soups, stews, and other hearty dishes.

Tough, Adaptable, and Easy to Grow:
Pinto beans are well-suited for gardeners facing hot summers or limited rainfall thanks to their natural drought and heat tolerance. These low-maintenance annuals perform reliably across a wide range of climates, thriving in USDA zones 3–10. Like all legumes, pinto plants help improve soil fertility by fixing nitrogen, making them a smart addition to crop rotations and long-term garden planning.

High Yields and Excellent Storage Qualities:
Pinto beans are sometimes called mottled beans or Peruano beans for their attractive speckled appearance. Plants exhibit strong germination and produce abundant pods filled with brown mottled beans that store well for extended periods. Their long shelf life and dense nutrition make them particularly useful for home pantries, meal prepping, and emergency food storage. When picked early, pods can also be enjoyed as fresh snap beans.

Why Customers Love Pinto Beans:

  • Hardy, drought- and heat-tolerant bush variety
  • High yields of speckled beans with a rich, full-bodied flavor
  • Excellent for chili, refried beans, soups, and stews
  • Can be harvested dry or enjoyed early as snap beans
  • Nitrogen-fixing plants that help improve soil quality
  • Reliable across a wide climate range, USDA zones 3–10

How to Grow:
Sow seeds outdoors after the last frost once soil has warmed. Choose a full-sun location with well-drained soil. Water consistently during germination and early growth, then reduce watering as plants mature. Bushy plants with half runners are easy to harvest. Allow pods to fully dry on the plant for storage beans, or pick earlier for fresh snap use.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fun with a late blooming omega
Format: Kindle
I like this book. The story is fun, cute, and sexy. There's just a little drama, some excellent, steamy scenes, and a fairly good relationship building storyline. I especially like how all the main characters are a bit older than the usual 20 somethings I tend to see in this kind of book. Having said that, I wish there were more descriptions of the places, as well as the food in the fancy restaurant. I enjoyed the cocktails at the club, so I missed that kind of detail when Gray took Madison on a dinner date. I also wish there had been more interaction between Lucas and Madison, and Lucas and Rian. It felt a bit lopsided, with a focus on Rian, Madison, and Gray. I wish it had been proofread - there are a lot of typos, but nothing too distracting.
