🌞 Care Requirements
|
Factor |
Ideal Conditions |
|
Light |
Bright indirect light or full sun (a few hours daily). Indoors, a sunny windowsill is great. |
|
Water |
Infrequent watering. Let soil dry completely between waterings. Overwatering causes rot. |
|
Soil |
Well-draining cactus or succulent mix. You can add perlite or pumice for extra drainage. |
|
Temperature |
Prefers 18–27°C (65–80°F). Not frost-tolerant — protect from cold. |
|
Humidity |
Low to moderate; avoid overly humid areas. |
|
Fertilizer |
Light feeding once or twice a year during growing season (spring–summer). |
🌱 Propagation
- Easily propagated from leaf cuttings or stem cuttings.
- Allow cut ends to callous over for a few days before placing on soil.
- Roots form in a few weeks.
🧡 Fun Facts
- Called “Banana Sedum” because of its banana-shaped leaves.
- It’s a trailing succulent, perfect for hanging baskets or shelves.
- The leaves are delicate — even a light touch can cause them to fall off (don’t worry, you can replant them!).
