WHY USE AROID POTTING MIX?

The most common mistake committed by houseplant growers is overwatering.  Excess water trapped in the pot often leads to fungal infection and rotting of the roots. In some cases, root rot is irreversible,  eventually killing the plant. Ordinary garden soil becomes compacted over time, restricting the growth of roots. Aroids generally need a well-draining potting media that allow unrestricted growth of roots.

WHAT’S IN OUR AROID MIX?

PREMIUM ACACIA LEAVES AND HYDROTON (Chunky Premium Mix only)

Acacia leaves are an excellent organic soil amendment that are known to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.  They are also known to contain rich levels of Nitrogen, providing additional source of nutrients for plants as they decay.  Hydroton Clay Pebbles aids in drainage but can also store extra moisture to ensure that the potting mix will not dry out completely.

AGED AND FERMENTED COCO CHIPS

Similar to bark chips, coco chunks allow excess water to drain well. But coco chunks retain and absorb more moisture/ water than bark chips, so that your plants’ roots don’t completely dry out.  Coco chunks therefore provide a well-balanced moisture retention and drainage capability.

MORE ORGANIC NUTRIENTS

Your plants will derive nutrients from the rich mixture of high quality organic materials found in our potting mix, specifically composted coco peat, vermicast, neem cake powder,  carbonized rice hull (CRH) and aged coco peat.  Vermicast is a good source of complete nutrients that help your plant grow bigger, and establish roots faster.

Lies
Update! They are cracking and falling apart already with barely being used and careful care. Complete waste of money. Original review: These are horrible, as far as the smell and not being properly sanded. They aren't pre-oiled like they claimed either. Not worth what you pay for them.

Sturdy cutting boards!
These cutting boards work great and are sturdy. They lose color quickly but re oiling them will help that. Good product.

Great quality for the Price
Surprisingly decent for the price! The wood is actually pretty and high quality, but the manufacturing isn't great. The set a received is quite rough and my wife continues to think she will get a splinter. They also are oiled but they are quite dry still and also smell heavily of the mineral oil they use.

Beautiful but terrible quality.
While I absolutely loved the idea of cutting boards with a stand, these were not the right choice. The wood is exceptionally soft and after the first use the gouges from my knife were pretty deep. After I washed the cutting board from cutting veggies, it started to splinter. Maybe I just got a defective set but I definitely do not recommend this set. Will be returning and getting a different brand/board.

A unique treatise
Format: Paperback
I've read part way through this book at this point, reading it together with a friend. It provides plenty material for discussion. It seems to me to be aimed at a seminary audience, as there are some theological and Greek grammatical terms used, but not fully explained. It's not quick reading, but it makes up for that in the unique content. The content is to take a dozen key passages whose interpretation has varied over the last couple thousand years, and show exactly how these interpretations have varied. The title of the book, "...in Full Circle" refers to the idea that some contemporary interpretations have more in common with the most ancient church fathers than they do with their immediate predecessors over the last four or five hundred years. All in all, it's a fascinating way of looking at scripture - through the eyes of influential authors over the course of almost twenty centuries.
