Reaching only 4 inches in height and width at maturity, Graptoveria amethorum makes an excellent contrast plant within container arrangements – though it can certainly stand alone on a sunny windowsill, where its pink blooms will add yet another layer of intrigue during the spring and summer months!

Though it is a rare hybrid variety, Graptoveria amethorum has relatively commonplace care requirements. Bright sunlight will ensure its best coloration and most compact growth form, while thorough but infrequent watering will shield this densely fleshy plant from ills such as rot or pests. The ‘soak and dry’ method works extremely well for this purpose, and a porous soil mixture within a well-draining pot will further recreate the arid conditions to which this succulent is most adapted.

During the winter months, be sure to protect the water-filled leaves from frosty temperatures, which could otherwise cause permanent scarring to Graptoveria amethorum.
