Xeriscape-Friendly, Low-Water, and Practical

These drought-tolerant herbs and flowers adapt well to arid conditions, offering beauty, usefulness, and ecological benefits:

  • Lavender (200 mg) is a hardy perennial with fragrant purple blooms that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while requiring minimal care.
  • Victoria Blue Sage (600 mg), also known as mealycup sage, is native to North America and performs well as a heat-loving perennial or a colorful annual in cooler climates.
  • California Poppy (600 mg) brings classic orange blooms suited for mass plantings, with flowers that brighten the garden in spring or fall.
  • Thyme (100 mg) is a compact perennial herb with tiny white flowers and aromatic, needle-like leaves, thriving indoors or outdoors.
  • White Sage (400 mg) is a culturally significant Native American plant valued for its strong, cleansing fragrance. It tolerates dry soils and full sun.
  • Culinary Sage (900 mg) is a versatile kitchen herb with soft green leaves and pastel blooms that appear in early spring.
  • Marjoram (200 mg) features velvety gray-green leaves and soft pink flowers, offering culinary and traditional herbal uses.
  • Oregano (100 mg) is a staple seasoning for Mediterranean and Latin cuisines, with small leaves ideal for fresh or dried use.

Why Customers Love the Drought-Tolerant Herb & Flower Kit

  • Perfect for water-conscious gardeners and xeriscape landscapes
  • Includes culinary, medicinal, aromatic, and ornamental plants
  • Attracts pollinators and supports biodiversity in dry climates
  • Easy-to-grow selection suitable for containers, borders, or open beds
  • Provides year-round value through cooking, fragrance, and visual appeal

How to Grow
Plant seeds in full sun and well-draining soil, spacing varieties according to their individual recommendations. Water lightly and infrequently to encourage strong, drought-resistant root systems. Adding mulch can help reduce surface evaporation and maintain soil moisture. Many herbs adapt well to containers, allowing flexibility in placement and maintenance.

Harvest & Use
Clip herbs like thyme, oregano, culinary sage, and marjoram as needed for cooking or drying. Enjoy lavender, California poppy, and blue sage as ornamental and pollinator-friendly additions to the garden. White sage leaves may be harvested sparingly once plants are established. Each variety offers practical value, from seasoning meals to supporting local wildlife.

Ehh
Color: Black, Color: Black
Eh. I mean, it was warm… but it trapped moisture from me breathing into it, so then it was like wet… which wasn’t ideal. Didn’t stay up on my nose super well. I had to tuck it into my goggles. Easy to wash. Decently soft. Feel like it wasn’t exactly worth the money I spent, but I know it is real wool, so that comes with a price tag. I don’t know…I really didn’t like the water / moisture getting trapped around my mouth and chin and what not. Just causing skin breakout issues. Helped cut the cold wind, but I feel like it could be better, or like there are better options out there maybe. Maybe not meant for snowboarding or exercising, so you’re not breathing as hard into it. Maybe it’s just meant for walking around with it around your neck. I don’t know.

Not very itchy, easy to put in your pocket and warm
Color: Black
I wore turtle fur for a long time and liked it except that it's too big to fit in my pocket. This wool product has really impressed me so far. It doesn't have a zero itch rating but it is very soft. It's surprisingly warm for its weight. Fits easily in my coat pockets. It's comfortable, fits well on both my neck and face as it has some stretch to it. It had a smell when I first opened the package but that went away after a couple of days. I wore it around my neck in 20F and was warm. I would say that using it as a face mask at that temperature would be pushing its limits. I find it to be a good balance between size and warmth for the Kentucky tri-state area in a mild winter. Because of it's size you can easily put a layer over it during extreme cold and it would be well worth the space it takes in your pocket

Too Short
Color: Burgundy
I like the material and construction; it's soft and thick. It is warm and is effective at temperatures in the teens and winds around 30 mph. The thickness of the material helps prevent my breath from instantly condensing and moistening the fabric. I never got the "wet dog" smell wet wool is known for. Its fit is a little tight but not prohibitively so. The color matches that of the beanie. It's too sort to be considered versatile. In wind I had to choose between shielding my neck or my face. I HIGHLY recommend you not machine wash and dry. Hand wash it and let it dry naturally.

Nice for the money
Color: Army Green
Nice but not the most comfortable and came with an interesting smell. I with it was a bit thicker but the build quality is nice and it does look nice. For the price, I'd buy again. I use it primarily for skiing.
