Spathiphyllum 'Blue Moon' - Blue Moon Peace Lily

Spathiphyllum 'Blue Moon,' commonly known as Blue Moon Peace Lily, is an elegant evergreen perennial admired for its lush, deep green foliage and striking white flowers that bloom intermittently throughout the year. Its graceful, compact habit and air-purifying qualities make it a popular choice for indoor spaces, shaded patios, or sheltered garden beds. Growing to a height of 50–70 cm, this versatile plant adds sophistication and tranquility to any setting.

Position

Blue Moon Peace Lily thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions, making it ideal for indoor environments. Outdoors, it prefers a shaded or semi-shaded location with protection from direct sunlight. It grows best in well-drained, fertile soil and appreciates warm, humid conditions. Sensitive to frost, it is suitable for tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates.

Growth

This moderately fast-growing plant reaches a mature height of 50–70 cm with a similar spread, forming a bushy, rounded habit. Its glossy foliage and iconic white blooms make it a stunning addition to interiors, shaded garden beds, or as part of a patio collection.

Planting Guide

Spathiphyllum 'Blue Moon' grows best in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. For indoor planting, use a high-quality tropical potting mix and position the plant in a bright, indirect light location. Outdoors, plant in a shaded area with moist, well-drained soil. Water thoroughly after planting, and apply mulch around the base to retain moisture.

Plant Care

Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Feed with a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during the growing season to promote healthy growth and blooms. Clean leaves periodically to maintain their glossy appearance and remove dust. Prune spent flowers and damaged leaves to encourage continuous blooming and maintain a neat appearance.

Beautiful
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Beautiful book—arrived in great shape! And I absolutely adore Hardy’s poetry. Not sure why I can never find him on the poetry shelves of my bookstores, because he’s one of the greats. So far my favorite is “Her Death and After”. Sounds morose, but it’s actually quite beautiful. It will touch your heart—just what Thomas Hardy had a knack for. If you like classic poetry, please get this book. It’s great!

Hardy the poet
Format: Paperback
We all know Hardy the novelist, but perhaps he is less well known as a poet. In this volume of over 900 pages, with nearly 1,000 poems, Hardy is colorful, chatty, direct, lyrical, thoughtful, deep. And perhaps his finest quality - at least so I find - is the fact that he is down-to-earth. His poems are not "difficult" for a reasonably literate, experienced reader; and the rhyming is never forced. In short, his poems are a delight.

The other side of one of the giants of the Victorian era.
Format: Paperback
Thomas Hardy is my favorite novelist who has ever lived. I preface the review of this poetry anthology - which includes every one of the 900+ poems he wrote throughout his life, from the 1860s to just before his death in 1928 - in this way because I’m a bit biased. Hardy’s poetry is technically satisfying and nearly as moving as his novels, and you can tell that the same precision he brought to prose is on full display in his verse. I’m working my way through every single poem in this collection, and thus far my favorites are “The Convergence of the Twain” and “After the Last Breath.” There are other poets whose works I like better (Dickinson, Yeats, Wordsworth, and Whitman come to mind), but as an amateur Hardy scholar, reading this collection is positively invaluable to understand the full depth of his genius, and as always Wordsworth Classics delivers in terms of a quality paperback that should withstand years of enjoyment. I own many of their releases and have yet to find one that even slightly disappoints.
