CARE TIPS
Calathea is a relatively low-maintenance plant, but there are still some care tips to keep in mind:
LIGHTING: Prefers low to medium indirect light; keep out of direct sunlight.
WATERING: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy; water when the top inch feels dry.
HUMIDITY: Loves moderate to high humidity; occasional misting keeps leaves healthy.
TEMPEATURE: Best in 65–80°F; avoid drafts and sudden changes.
SOIL: Calathea prefers well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Use a high-quality potting mix that contains peat moss or coconut coir.
PET-FRIENDLY: Safe for cats and dogs, unlike many common houseplants.
