Lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli and other cool loving crops thrive in this dual-color, embossed plastic mulch. White plastic faces upward, keeping soil temperature down while increasing the amount of light available to the plant. The black plastic underside allows less light to reach the ground, which helps to control weeds. The coextruded white-on-black mulch can result in a decrease in soil temperature up to 12°, even as it reflects light back into the plant canopy. During spring and fall production, the increased light availability promotes faster growth and larger yields, offering an added value over non-coextruded white mulches. Mulch is 1.25 mil. thick and is embossed. The White on Black 600’ roll comes on a 2” core that is not a standard mulch core. Made in the USA.
